Royal Iced With Snowman
We have always loved the crisp, precise finish of using royal icing at Ella’s Barn and this stunning Christmas cake sums that up. The perfect side and top coatings are finished with a floating trellis collar at the top (lifted on in a single piece!), graduated pipped line work around the side, inside the collar and on the board. The board has been covered with royal icing, with red royal icing added to then shine through the bottom collar trellis work to add a wonderful pop of colour. The snowman completed decoupage style, layering pieces which have been individually pipped and then flooded. Small holly leaves and berries finish off the bottom. Royal icing takes a lot of time and skill to perfect, but we believe the beautiful results are worth it!
