Bead Maker Silicon Mould – 4mm

Makes a 5.75″ long string of beads which can be used for edging the bottom of a cake rather than piping and decorating the edges of plaques and cutouts etc.

HINT:  If you would like to make ‘pearl beads’ we find these come out well by dusting the inside of the mould with plenty of mother of pearl dust before you start and then the dust sticks to the beads as they are being formed.

4mm Bead Maker Mould – Makes a 5.75″ long string of beads which can be used for edging the bottom of a cake rather than piping and decorating the edges of plaques and cutouts etc.

To use the mould:  Roll a thin sausage shape of paste (we find a mix of 1/2 flower paste and 1/2 sugarpaste works best).  Rub the outside of the paste with a little Trex or dust with cornflower to help the beads release from the mould.  Press gently into gap in the mould along the whole length of the mould.  Bring the two edges of the mould together to close over the gap and trim away the excess paste squeezed out.  Very gently remove the moulded string of beads from the mould and place around your cake or plaque, attaching with a little glue if needed.
